A little progress

I got a bit more done this weekend, even with the distraction of a second dog. I’ve been trying to get fences up for ages now and finally it’s happening. This is the back boundary behind the shipping containers. Unfortunately it resembles the Great Wall of China, but it should keep what I want to keep in, and what I want to keep out, out.

It’s driving me crazy having such little time to spend working on the island. I need more time but I have to work. It’s frustrating how work gets in the way of life. I worked until 2am this morning in the workshop and was back up at 6am.

After a long day I headed back home to the city on the barge. Here is one of the barges going over to the island as I was heading home.

It seems to be more regular than not to have beautiful days on the bay. Here is the view looking down the channel through the anchorage where the island residents have their boats moored.

I get to do it all over again next week.
